SILENT MEDITATION

Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - Except during visiting teacher engagements (see the Special Event section of the Home page).

Silent meditation on the breath relaxes the body and mind, improves concentration and alertness, lowers blood pressure, alleviates headaches and stress, and requires no religious belief to benefit from. For those who choose to undertaken a deeper exploration into Buddhism, or another faith, breath meditation is often a foundational practice that gives access to subtler states of mind. This class is open to beginners and requires no prior experience in Buddhism. Senior students will provide guidance at the outset of the session. There is no fee to attend this class. Suggested donation $5 - $10.
